TV3 Ghana posted the picture of 2021 GMB Queens on its heavily followed social media platform. The month of October is a breast cancer awareness month and so Sarfoa Asamoah and Manu Afful have advised that early detection saves lives.
Breast cancer is cancer that forms in the cells of the breasts. Symptoms of breast cancer include a new lump in the breast or underarm or thickening or swelling of the breast or irritation.
Other symptoms include dimpling of breast skin, redness or flaky skin in the nipple area, or pain in the nipple area.
Measures that reduce the risk of breast cancer include maintaining a healthy diet, exercising, limiting the intake of alcohol, and regular breast sex examination.
It is important to note that, breast cancer becomes more dangerous when diagnosed at a later time. As Sarfoa and Manu advised, early detection is key to saving lives.
