Black Stars striker Antoine Semenyo rated 7.0 after first 90 minutes of the season for Bristol City

Ghana striker Antoine Semenyo played his first throttle of the season for his English Championship side Bristol City in their 2-1 home win over Preston North End on Tuesday night.

This English Championship round 14 tie, was played at the Ashton Gate Stadium as City recorded their fifth win of the season.

Semenyo, was rated at 7.0 in this fixture as they chase promotion to the English Premier League next season.

This will be welcome news to the player and and the Ghana national team as he completed his first 90 minutes of the season.

The player, has been having fitness issues since the season started, and was limited to second half appearances before yesterday’s game.

His return to full fitness, will also boost his chances of getting included in the Black Stars squad for the FIFA World Cup later this year as Coach Otto Addo nears the naming of his 26-man selection.

Bristol City are 11th on the English Championship table with 18 points after 14 matches, and, they will next play Millwall in another home game they will look to win on Saturday afternoon.

Semenyo, will hope to be included in Manager Nigel Pearson’s squad for the league fixture as he continues to build on his confidence.
