Hearts of Oak have recently departed Ghana to Mali for their CAF Confederation league fixture against AS Real Bamako.
Reports coming in indicate that their star man, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has rejected another contract proposal offered by the club.
Daniel Barnieh has been at Hearts of Oak for three seasons now and the player’s contract is nearing expiry. Sources close to the player have revealed that there is currently a lot of interest from clubs across Africa and even in Europe for the player.
Barnieh was the only local player to be in the national team squad for the last friendly games. The attacker is also the star man of the Black Galaxies and helped the team secure their first qualification for the CHAN tournament in Algeria next year.
Hearts of Oak are keen to extend the player’s contract and are reportedly ready to offer a figure that could make Barnieh the highest paid player in the Ghana Premier league.
