Why Is Your Party Doing This To Ghanaians? – Randy Abbey Questions NPP Communications Director

The ruling New Patriotic Party has been in power since 2017. Despite the many promises made by the Akufo-Addo government prior to the 2016 elections, many Ghanaians still feel the government has underperformed. The country is currently seeking financial bailout form the International Monetary Fund. As the country awaits international assistance, the economic fortunes of the country keeps dwindling.

Randy Abbey host of Good Morning has been questioning why the ruling NPP led by Akufo-Addo has failed so far. On the show today, Thursday, October 6, 2022 Kamal Deen, an NPP Deputy Communications Director was left dumfounded as Randy questioned why the NPP deceived Ghanaians. According to Randy Abbey he has questions to ask the two big political parties in the country. However, he chose to focus on the NPP because he mentioned that they are the ones in power.

Randy questioned why the NPP prior to the 2016 and 2020 elections made huge promises to Ghanaians and yet have failed to deliver. He explained that the NPP promised to do better than the NDC and this was why Ghanaians chose to vote for them. However, things haven’t ended in the manner in which they were promised.

Kamal Deen tried to put up a response by saying that it has become the norm for all political parties to make those promises and yet fail to deliver. He mentioned that indeed the NPP had good plans for Ghana but issues regarding Covid-19, financial clean up and the Ukraine Russia war have changed the bright future that Ghana had.

Randy Abbey then questioned Kamal if the NPP didn’t calculate all this before promising to Ghanaians to change their living conditions. Kamal Deen assured Ghanaians that things will get better soon. He called for support as President Akufo-Addo works to transform the country.
