The recent flood in Weija has made over 2,000 people homeless. Out of this number, over 718 pupils live in the Weija Gbawe municipality. A report according to TV3 indicates that some of these pupils are pupils preparing to the write Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) next two weeks, 17th October 2022.
These pupils are affected because the flood has taken over their schools and homes. As a result of this, the pupils are now looking for a place to put their heads as they have stopped going to school. The classrooms are full of flood and no academic work can take place there.
The screenshots in your picture show one of the pupils that are affected by the flood. You can see that before he can get into his room, he has to use a canoe. This is because the level of the water is so high that you can not walk in and go into your room. The people in the community are therefore calling for the support of government and organizations to assist these pupils with a place to stay and write their final examination (BECE).
