The founder of the now-defunct UT Bank Dr. Kofi Amoabeng has disclosed that he has sold his luxurious mansion and now leaves in an apartment.
He was a co-founder of UT Bank which collapsed in 2017 during Ghana’s banking crisis and amid allegations that he had misappropriated funds from the bank.

Dr. Kofi Amoabeng has shared his new life pattern after losing everything when his bank collpased in 2017. According to the businessman, life is taking a toll on him.

Kofi Amoabeng has disclosed that in order to get back on track, he had to sell his expensive Range Rover and plush mansion plus other businesses to settle his debts. In an interview on TV3, the businessman disclosed that he now lives a simple life as he owns just a shoe and a watch.
Although the businessman has a lot of fotunes and a lot of valuables after the bank crisis, Mr. Amoabeng sounded very optimistic about the future because despite suffering a great financial loss, he still drives an Audi with a V8 engine.

“I have one watch, I have one shoe so I don’t need much money. I don’t have to have a lot of money to enjoy life…I don’t drive Range Rover any more, I drive a Lexus…I had to sell it (mansion) to organize myself not to get broke,”.
