Journalist and a former Manager at Airtel Ghana, Raymond Ablorh following the ongoing galamsey menace has asserted that Akufo-Addo is the poorest leader he has ever encountered in the fourth republic.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, 5th October 2022, he wrote;
“The galamsey fight is one that hasn’t suffered a lot of partisan conversations. All parties agree that we need to fight it, and, many even asked for broader consultation which, President Akufo-Addo considered after he failed in his first term.”
He explained that the failure of Akufo-Addo and his government to deal with the issue is hinged on:
1. The involvement of party and government functionaries in galamsey;
2. The president’s lack of commitment to fighting galamsey.Â
3. Government’s inability to administer the relevant laws.
So, President Akufo-Addo should stop talking as if it’s partisanship that’s affecting the fight. If it’s partisanship, then, it’s his inability to deal with people like Akonta and others who are beneficiaries of illegal mining. He explained.
Raymond added that, we saw how Charles Bissue’s, Ekow Ewusi’s and other galamsey related scandals we’re treated. As the Army Head, he certainly have heard about those soldiers who were caught protecting galamseyers. What did he do about that?Â
President Akufo-Addo couldn’t tell what happened to them because he isn’t sure whether Aisha Huang was deported or she sneaked out.
“It’s obvious Ghanaians voted for somebody not qualified to lead even a secondary school as school prefect. How he won the election will forever be a mystery.
Akufo-Addo is the poorest leader I’ve encountered in the 4th Republic. He’s a disgrace to all who campaigned for him.”Raymond Ablorh concluded.
