Black Stars Defenders Set To ‘Miss’ World Cup Due To Injury

Ghana’s defender and left back, Baba Rahman is set to be out of action for close to one month after sustaining injury in training.

The defender was part of the Black Stars squad that was announced for the friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.

According to information from his manager at Reading, the player sustained an injury during training and is set to be out for a month. The coach said “I don’t know. It’s been a bad couple of days for us. We lost Baba on Thursday and he’s out for a month”.

With the World Cup just a month away, Baba Rahman could miss the world cup if he does not recover in time. Ghana will start their World Cup campaign on November 24th with a game against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.

The Black Stars will also face Uruguay and South Korea in the group stages.
