Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has hailed Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey after their impressive win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Partey swept in the Gunner’s opener on the 20th minute in the North London derby having been teed off by right-back, Ben White.
“Great feeling, really waiting for that one, the crowd is been shoot shoot for a long time.
“For a while he’s been through injuries and the effort he put in this week again to be available for the team, I’m so happy for him, he deserves it.” Mikel Arteta said in a post match.
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder has grappled with injuries lately, missing out on Black Stars two pre World Cup friendlies – a 3-0 loss against Brazil in France and a 1-0 win over Nicaragua in Spain.
He however recovered in time to feature for Arsenal much to the delight of the club’s massive following at the Emirates.
