A young Ghanaian lady probably between the ages of 18 and 23 years old has recorded herself on camera advising Ghanaians about how thieves have been stealing people’s phones with posh cars. Speaking in the video, she said that she lives in East Legon, and one day she was about to cross a road when a guy sitting in a posh private car stopped her. The guy asked her whether she has the Snapchat app on her phone and she responded ‘yes’. The guy then said that he wants to do something on Snapchat so she should give the phone to him.
According to her, she has wanted to say no but she said yes. She believes the thief used ‘juju’ on her because normally she will never give her mobile phone to a stranger. Before she realized the car is on top speed going away with her phone. When she explained this to a friend, the friend also said that she has recently heard of this kind of thievery. And that is how thieves have been stealing people’s mobile phones in East Legon.
They will drive in posh cars so you will not believe that people driving in such cars will run away with their mobile phones. She, therefore, advises people to be careful when they come across such situations.
