Former minister of transportation and aide to the former president John Dramani Mahama, lawyer Joyce Bawa Mogtari has questioned those ranting that it is disrespect to boo president as a Ghanaian.
In a social media post, Joyce Bawa Mogtari said it’s an affront to sit aloof as an adult for this to go bad and when youths react, you come and insult them for reacting.
“Why can’t the youth boo and jeer at the President to express their disappointment? Afterall, the same President supervised all the booing, the insults, and attacks on President Mahama, both in and out of office” she said.
She said even if the youths with coconut heads cannot lead or govern, they can boo to express their disappointments.
She said it is this same youths who joined the queue to vote during elections so there’s no point in shutting them up if they want to vent their frustrations in the government.
“Welcome to Ghana, where the youth with hard coconut heads, cannot lead or govern but are well qualified to vote” she concluded
