The founder and leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Akwasi Addai popularly called Odike, has sent some messages to President Akufo Addo and also the minister for lands and natural resources, Honorable Samuel Abu Jinapor.
In an interview on Adom FM this morning, Odike made it clear to them that they should resign from their respective offices. According to him, both parties have failed to fight against illegal mining activities in the country. He believes that the country needs a leader that can fight against galamsey activities.
“Akufo Addo and Abu Jinapor must resign today. If they are truthful to God and man, they should resign from their seats. You are a minister and you have deployed so many strategies but it didn’t work. We have invested over $400m in the fight against galamsey so if you are not getting results, why are still in office. You don’t have any thing do on that chair to administer anything” he said.

Odike believes that more work could be done to fight against illegal mining activities but the current administration is not helping.
