If All NDC Communicators Speak Like The Way JM Spoke In Harvard, We Won’t Challenge Them In Debates

Dr. Okoe Boye, the CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority this morning joined Sammy Gyamfi and Dr. Randy Abbey to discuss Ghana’s approach in discussing terms with the International Monetary Fund as the country seeks financial bailout. According to Sammy Gyamfi, the President should get ready for more boos if the living standards of Ghanaians continue to deteriorate. He clearly pointed out that though the NDC don’t support the boos that the president received the state of the economy is miserable.

Okoe Boye however wasn’t pleased with what Sammy Gyamfi had said. He pointed out that every government has issues and Akufo-Addo’s government will not be the last to face challenges. He debunked Sammy’s arguments that the NPP have changed the plight of Ghanaians to worse since taking over from the NDC. According to him, the NPP inherited a lot of problems but they have managed to solve most of them.

Okoe Boye was of the view that communicators of the NDC keep damaging the image of the country while forgetting that Covid-19 and the Ukraine Russian war has negatively affected the country. Okoe Boye called on NDC communicators to learn from John Mahama when it comes to communication. He cited the speech that John Mahama made while speaking at the 24th African Business Conference in Harvard in April.

“ speech that former president gave in Harvard is that kind of talk that comes from people in the NDC, most of the resistance you see from some of us will not happen. Because it was one that spoke about challenges that has hit people and despite that we still must look at our ways and get out of it “Okoe Boye said.

Okoe was of the view that the usual banter between NDC and NPP communicators can be eased if they all learn to speak the truth and make certain admittances. John Mahama in the speech in April spoke about the challenges the world has seen after Covid-19 and the way forward.
