The Ghana Tourism Authority has replied to the rantings of Ghanaian musician Kirani Ayat accusing the president of copyright breach.
Earlier, the musician took to his Twitter to accuse the president and the Tourism Ministry of using his intellectual property without his consent.

Kirani Ayat called out the Tourism Ministry for using excerpts of his Guda music video to support the #VisitGhana2022 agenda without his consent. According to him, he is expecting to be paid royalties due him because he didn’t give the green light for his content to be used by the Government of Ghana.

In a new development, the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has responded to the claims of copyright infringement by the musician in a statement.
In the statement released, Ghana Tourism Authority disclosed that the video footage was acquired from a creative agency three years ago and has been used several times for promotional purposes both locally and internationally. GTA is however yet to disclose the agency responsible for the video footage.
