Kotoko faced Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The match ended 1-1 with Caleb Amankwah getting a late goal to cancel out Yusif Mubarik’s early goal for Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The match saw some controversial decisions as referee for the game, Yao Bless denied Asante Kotoko some debatable penalties in the game.
Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annor -Dompreh has expressed his discontent at the performance of the referee for the game. The MP who is a staunch Kumasi Asante Kotoko supporter joined a number of fans who registered their concerns with how the referee handled the game.
On his social media pages, the MP called on the Football Association to punish referees. He also advised the club to send an official complaint to the football association together with all the videos from the game.
The Ghana Football Association is yet to make a comment after the game and any information will be relayed in due time.
