“I just want to call on the EC to realize that today they constitute the biggest threat to our democracy with their recalcitrant position. We urge them to go back to the table and consult with the political parties.
The Ningo-Prampram MP believes it’s prudent to engage all stakeholders before rolling out their intent to the public to sign their reasonable objective.
The National Democratic Congress has openly made their resolute on their stance on using Ghana Card alone for voting. They believe it’s an attempt to sever off many voters by preventing many Ghanaians from casting their votes during the election.
The EC’s Director of Electoral Services, Dr. Serebour Quaicoe, says the decision is valid because it will help to rid the register of minors and foreigners.
He stated that every Ghanaian can lay hands on the Ghana Card before the 2024 general election since 2 years is a lengthy period in accessing these Ghana Cards before the election.
