Coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo led the Black Stars to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar after having a goal advantage in the draw against Nigeria earlier this year.
However, the question remains whether he is the right man to take the team to the World Cup.
Otto Addo has so far seen 7 games as Coach for the Black Stars but the Coach has just won 2 games with one being against Madagascar and the other a friendly match against Chile that saw the Black Stars win on penalties.
His team selection for the game against Brazil raised a couple of eyebrows as many were expecting that he would hand Inaki Williams and Tariq Lamptey a start in a game as big as this. Instead, the Coach opted for inexperienced Felix Afena Gyan. It was evident his selection was wrong as Afena Gyan had the fewest touches per player in the first half.
Although his changes in the second half were positive, it is hoped that he can do better to help the Black Stars right from the start of games as most teams would take the advantage when given opportunities like this.
Otto Addo needs to sit up if he really wants to help the team go far in the upcoming world cup but the question will always remain if he is indeed the right man for the job. Only time will tell.
