Fans of the Black Stars have been raving about substitute Mohammed Salisu’s performance against Brazil’s Selecao on social media, despite the fact that he didn’t enter the game until the second half.
In a friendly international match played in France, the Black Stars were defeated by a Brazilian team captained by Neymar Jnr, 3-0, in the first half.
Fans have attributed the Brazilians’ second-half defeat to Salisu’s defensive and offensive contributions after he was brought into the game.
His club Southampton gushed over Salisu’s debut as a substitute for the Black Stars in a friendly match played in Le Havre, France, saying, “The 23-year-old was inserted at half-time.”
