Ghana Meteorological Agency Warns The Public For A Severe Rain With Heavy Thunderstoms

Showers of rains with severe thunderstorms are expected along the coastal belts of Ghana and in the hilly areas across the country.

This is a report from the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA), dated on 24th September 2022.

The agency is of the believe that cloudiness will engulf most part of the southern Ghana with a little extension to the middle part of Ghana.

As it stands, Accra is experiencing slight rains with heavy thunderstorms.

Aflao at the far coastal part of Ghana is severely covered with cloud.

It is worth noting that important cities like Cape Coast, Takoradi, Kasoa, and Obuasi and its immediate environs will be cloudy.

Further, same areas around Southern Ghana is expected to be foggy and misty.

Cities likely to be foggy area Koforidua and Akim Oda. Again, Ho, Sefwi Bekwai, Goaso, Kintampo, Tarkwa, and Kumasi will be all misty this morning.

The weather puts the temperature in these early hours (morning) at 23 degrees.

As the day progresses, it’s likely that the cloudiness will transit into the afternoon as many places will continue to be clouded with high humidity in the atmosphere.

Rains will should be anticipated in the afternoon starting from the early to the late afternoon today.

As a result, the late evening will be clouded as well.

Additionally, the Northen half of the country should anticipate cloudiness throughout the day.

As it stands, Damongo, Tamale, Bole, Bawku, Bolgatanga, Nalerigu, Wa, Yendi, and its surroundings are currently experiencing rains this morning.

The late afternoon will be an intermittent sunny and rains.

Late evening will as well be cloudy.

The average temperature would be pegged at 24 degrees throughout in the Southern half.

Indigines should be on the lookout as the rains come.

Fishermen should anticipate that the sea will be rough today.

They’re to be cautious for the day.
