A 37 years old mother of two who was once a prostitute opened up on why she has regretted For Involving Herself Into Prostitution Years Ago. According to the woman she is from a family of eight and she is the last child of her parents. Although her mother helped her enrolled in senior high school but she aimed to be a businesswoman rather than going to school.
A year after she completed school, she got into a relationship with her boyfriend who convinced her to help her to get a better future. They dated for four years before he travelled to Accra and never returned. The woman claims she went to work as a house help for two years without sleeping with any man. She got Ghc2,000 out of that job and started trading with it. A few years later, the money she used in her trading got missing from her room.
She was not able to get money to continue her business for a month. It was their neighbour who helped her to get GHC4,000 loan from the bank and start her work again. The mother said she was not able to pay for the loan within two months but the neighbour got her arrested for her inability to pay back the loan. After she was bail out from the police cells, she met her classmates on her way to work, she then explained her problems to her.
The friend too revealed to her that she is a prostitute and has been earning enough money from it. She convinced her to involve herself into that to get money and solve her problems.. She accepted to join her so she sent her to the hotel she has been doing that work. The woman said she slept with two men that night and each of them gave her Ghc30. She continued sleeping with those men till she paid all the loans but she regretted involving herself after she slept with a man who is addicted to smoking and alcohol.
She cried the whole day but was not having any choice but to continue doing it. The following day another man pick her from the hotel but when she got to his house, she heard the man having a conversation with another person telling him that he has gotten another person for the sacrifice. She tried to escape from the house but the man hits her with a bottle, still, she tried to run from the house whilst bleeding. Since that day she stopped thr prostitution and never returned to the hotel.
