Chelsea is set to recall Cullum Hudson Odoi from loan after Coach Graham Potter declared an interest to work with the player.
According to sources close to the club, the current Chelsea manager was interested in signing the player when he was at Brighton but the move did not materialize.
Chelsea decided to send the player on loan after Odoi demanded for more play time. It has been disclosed that the loan deal with Bayer Leverkusen does not include a buy option as Chelsea value the player highly and would want him to fight for his place when he returns.
A move back to Chelsea is on the cards and the West London club will analyze all their options before recalling him in January.
According to sources, should Odoi come back in January, it will mean that a high-profile player such as Pulisic or Hakim Ziyech could be heading for an exit.
Chelsea will face Crystal Palace after the international break and the blues will be looking to bounce back after their stalemate performance in the champions league.
