The captain of the Ghana Black Stars, Andre Dede Ayew is set to break the record for the most capped player for the national team.
The son of the legendary player, Abedi Pele is now the second most capped player for the national team with just two games behind former captain, Asamoah Gyan.
With Dede Ayew’s inclusion in the squad for the friendly games against Brazil and Nicaragua this week, he is set to be the joint most capped player for the team and it is expected that he will break the record when he features for the team at the World Cup in November.
Dede Ayew made his debut for the Black Stars in 2007 and has been one of the most consistent players for the team. He made his 100th appearance for the Black Stars when the team played against South Africa in the World Cup Qualifiers match.
Should everything go well as planned, Dede Ayew will become the most capped player for the Black Stars.
