An activist of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dzifa Gunu has, release a list which alleges that, President Akufo-Addo bought a state car when NPP was office in 2009.
In a post shared by Dzifa Ganu on Tuesday 20th September 2022, he wrote that; Yesterday, Akufo-Addo sent the GIMPA graduate, Abronye to do a press conference.
He added that Abronye claims he was releasing a list of all NDC appointees who bought government cars when JM was leaving office.
“Unfortunately Akufo-Addo failed to add this list of people ( Akufo-Addo himself) who bought cars and properties when they were leaving office in 2009.” Dzifa Ganu added. He released the document below to back his claims.
In the document, Akufo-Addo bought a Honda Accord Saloon car.
The above comments of Dzifa comes in wake of a press conference held on 19th September 2022 by the Bono Regional Chairman of NPP, Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye DC. According to Abronye, some Mahama appointees bought state properties at low prices when NDC was leaving office in 2016.
The aftermath of Abronye’s press conference has seen a list of 100 former government appointees who bought state vehicles prior to the exit of erstwhile Kufuor administration on January 7 2009 has been revealed.
Reports suggest that a former Minister of Manpower Youth and Employment Nana Akomea was among the beneficiaries and per correspondence from the minister of presidential affairs bought his for GH¢800.
Other former ministers from the list, also bought their vehicles slightly above how much he got his or below.
