Popular Chief And Others Finally Arrested After Unexpected Galamsey Site Set Up In Backyard

Another well-known chief in the NPP stronghold was eventually captured by the Ghana police for his involvement in illegal mining activities in his township, and this news has definitely sparked a significant uproar, discussions, and disagreements across all social media platforms.

The “galamsey queen,” Aisha Huang, was recently detained for engaging in illegal mining in the nation, but it appears that the incumbent government’s pledge to combat the practice has been ineffective given that Ghanaians continue to encounter more significant cases every day.

The chief of Sehwi Ellubo, a town in Ghana’s Western North, was reportedly caught up in illicit mining activities in his township, according to recent reports from the Ghana Police Service.

Regarding this, the chief, Nana Anni Baffour, and his brother, Kwadwo Affi, have finally been apprehended, and the police are currently looking for six other people involved in an unlawful mini-van operation in the Sehwi Ellubo township.

Here are a few images that show how the well-known leader unintentionally put up a gambling site in his backyard, prompting a huge online backlash.

Do you believe the chief and his brother should be brought before the law in light of the current President Akufo Addo’s initiative to mobilize all resources to combat galamsey in the nation, notwithstanding what the majority of people claimed?
