Today, Sunday, September 18, 2022, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play host to Burkinabe side RC Kadiogo at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the second leg of their preliminary round encounter in the ongoing CAF Champions League:

The first leg was played at the General Kerekou Stadium in Cotonou, where the Ghana Premier League winners won by a solitary goal thanks to a goal from teenager Isaac Oppong.

Kotoko hopes to return to the Champions League group stage for the first time since 2006.

Despite the team’s victory in the first leg, both head coach Seydou Zerbo and the team’s new captain, Richard Boadu, spoke to the press on Friday in Kumasi, warning of a difficult matchup.
