Asante Kotoko declares readiness to knock out RC Kadiogo on Sunday

Ghana champions Asante Kotoko has declared their readiness for Sunday’s African Champions League game with RC Kadiogo in Kumasi.

The Porcupines, will host the champions of Burkina Faso at the Baba Yara Stadium in a preliminary round second leg tie, leading 1-0 from the first leg encounter.

Kotoko, has taken to their media channels in announcing their preparedness for this game as the aim for qualification to the next stage of the competition.

And, they will be the odds on favourites to advance to next round of the competition as they seek a first continental title since 1983.

Coach Seydou Zerbo and his charges have been training in Kumasi since their arrival from the first leg tie played in Cotonou, Benin last Monday.

News coming from their camp, speaks of a positive atmosphere, and their Burkina Faso helmsman has stated that his side is ready to overcome his countrymen in the Garden City tomorrow.

Coach Zerbo, is a former technical head of RC Kadiogo, and he expects his Asante Kotoko team to triumph over his compatriots on Sunday.

Should they go through, Asante Kotoko will face the winner of the tie between Gaborone United of Botswana and DR Congo’s AS Vita Club for a place in the group phase of this season’s competition.
