A Political Lecturer at the University of Ghana, Professor Ransford Gyampo, has asserted that the handlers of President Akufo-Addo are a monumental embarrassment to him.
In a post shared on Prof Gyampo’s official Facebook page on Thursday, 15th September, 2022, he wrote;
“I am not sure if Aisha Huang was deported or she fled the country”. Why should a whole President of ours, and C-in-C say this? What info can’t he get if he wants to? The handlers of the President are a monumental embarrassment to the old man.”
Background
The comments of Prof Gyampo comes as a background to President Akufo-Addo’s comment about Aisha Huang. Akufo-Addo said that he is not sure if Aisha was really deported in 2018 after she was caught engaging in illegal mining activities. Aisha Huang had been re-arrested again after she sneaked back to Ghana.
Following that, many Ghanaians have criticized the President and quizzed if he is really in charge.
