The member of Parliament for Assin Central, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, has commented that even if you are a God that took the decision of increasing duty on importation of used cars, he has a problem with you.
Speaking at an event organized by Vehicle and Assets Dealers of Ghana, Kennedy Agyapong expressed his profound disagreement with the NPP government’s decision of increasing duty on importation of used cars to 35%. He explained that, the previous import duty was 10% which means that a whooping 25% has been added.
Kennedy argued that, the government should allow the importation of used cars along with brand new cars. He added that, those who can afford brand new cars should buy it and those who can’t, should go for slightly used cars. He explained that, even in European countries, there are used cars.
