Kelvyn Brown better known in the music industry as Kelvyn Boy has said he used to keep dreadlocks because of his former boss Livingstone Etse Satekla known as Stonebwoy.
They both used to work together as Kelvyn Boy was signed under Stonebwoy’s management BHIM Nation.
Kelvyn Boy and dancehall artist Stonebwoy used to be very close until the two separated in 2020 after a series of issues.
Their issues started when people began to compare Stonebwoy to his former signee Kelvyn Boy which he (Stonebwoy) felt was disrespectful.Â
Stonebwoy has in numerous interviews said he was the one that brought Kelvyn Boy into the public eye and that he disagreed that people made a comparison of them both.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz Fm, Kelvyn Boy disclosed that he looks up to his former boss Stonebwoy and that he kept his locks because he was an inspiration to him and had always wanted to sing like him.
Kelvyn Boy also disclosed that smoking does not make people lose their minds or make them go mad.Â
But it actually helps him. He said that in his case if he doesn’t smoke, he will go mad.
 In his words, “People think if you smoke, you will go mad. Well, with me, if I don’t smoke, I will go mad.
