King Promise has suggested that the present political administration led by Nana Akufo Addo has caused more hardship than he had ever seen before.
He said life has become so unbearable and obviously deplorable presently to the extent that items he bought at ₵12,000 have suddenly jumped to ₵24,000 in a span of just 6 months.
He spilled out his frustration when he was hosted in the studios of Okay FM, a subsidiary of Despite Media Group.
“Ghana is expensive, no one can lie,” he said. Adding his experience, the ‘Ginger’ singer said “like things I use to pay for like maybe 12, 000, 13, 000 and 14,000 now is like 24,000. It doesn’t make any sense in less than six months.”

Other mainstream celebs, including the majority of Ghanaians, have been left disgruntled and feeling helpless about the situation.
King Promise’s colleague, Mzvee days ago echoed the same sentiment.

“Everything has increased. I was filling my tank for about GH300 but now I fill it for close to GH700 so yeah it’s hard in Ghana.”
She also spoke about the contentious e-levy, saying, “I don’t have a good take on E-Levy because I feel like it’s a double taxation situation,” she had said in an interview.
