Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has shared a video link on his Facebook page to show his recent activity.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was recently in Kenya during the inauguration of President William Samoei Ruto. After this inauguration, one media house in Kenya granted an interview for Bawumia.
In the course of the interview, Dr. Bawumia was asked about his presidential ambitions. They asked him if he will succeed the incumbent president after the 2024 general elections.
“There will be general elections in 2024, and I’m really sure that many Ghanaians are pointing to your name as the successor of the current president. I’m I right?, are you walking towards that direction” the host asked.
Vice President Bawumia responded to this question and made it clear that indeed, the country will be voting in December, 2024. He added that his main task now is to support President Akufo Addo to accomplish his goals. He added that time will tell if he will be the one to succeed President Akufo Addo or not.
According to him, there will be nothing to campaign about if he doesn’t support President Akufo Addo in accomplishing his goals. For this reason, he believes that the time is not up to speak about his presidential ambition.
“I think right now, I am just focussed on helping my boss, President Nana Akufo Addo to fulfil his vision and deliver on his agenda. We don’t really have too much time to think about 2024 right now. I think that if you get to 2024 and you don’t have a record, you have nothing” he said.
