Security Officer At Kumasi Airport Interdicted For Daring To Search National Security Minister

A Security Officer at the Kumasi Airport has been interdicted for attempting to search the National Security Minister, Albert Kan Dapaa.

On September 8, 2022, Awudu Basit, an Aviation Security Officer, approached and demanded to conduct a pre-boarding search on the Minister in charge of National Security at the VVIP Lounge of the Airport.

In view of this, the Ghana Airport Company, in a leaked letter, says it has taken a decision to thoroughly investigate circumstances leading to the said incident.

“It is reported that you approached the Hon. Minister and demanded to conduct pre-boarding search on him in the open frontage of the VVIP Lounge which ended up embarrassing the Hon. Minister”, portions of the letter read.
