Pray We Find Sincere Leaders – Joyce Bawa Mogtari Tells Ghanaians

Joyce Bawa Mogtari writes on Airbus bribery scandal | Politics

Aide to former President Mahama, Joyce Bawa Mogtari has urged Ghanaians to seek divine intervention for God to bless Ghana with leaders who will steer affairs of the country with truthfulness.

‘Rising cost of living, highest inflation rates, an almost moribund economy and we speak of abettors of criticism! Pray we find consistent and sincere leaders”, she said.

She says the New Patriotic Party Government appears to be more interested in fighting people who dare to take on the judiciary rather than working to address the mess that they created in the economy.

Ms Joyce tweeted this on her Twitter page in reference to the recent fuse of the executive arm of government over former President Mahama’s criticism of the country’s judiciary.

The Attorney General and Minister for Justice Godfred Yeboah Dame, at the Ghana Bar Association’s conference held in Ho, took on former President Mahama for accusing the Judiciary of being politically biased.

“Mr president the Judiciary has shown consistently that it is the last line of defiance for our country and was thus with great dismay and embarrassment that I heard a person who has occupied the highest office of the state, former president John Mahama recently launched an unwarranted attack on the integrity of Ghana’s Judiciary.

“I observed that this is the latest installments of systematic attacks on our courts by the former president all of it unjustified and I compelled to comment on same in the address because they border on the security of the state and constitute a deliberate pattern of conduct aimed at undermining the independence of the Judiciary, alms of government whose autonomy is crucial to its proper functioning, he said.
