TV3 Ghana has posted a glimpse of an interview with former president John Dramani Mahama. In the said video, the former president explained that it is not true that he received ex-gratia in the year 2013.
” Government does not pay my water, electricity and office bills. I did not bring my bank statement but I did not receive any GHS14million exgratia as claimed by Kwame Abronye. It could be that former president Kuffour is receiving treatment for some benefits of that kind but that is not my case”.
“I pay my bills, air ticket, and domestic staff bills. I only receive my monthly pension benefits but it is not true that I was paid exgratia”.
” All that they were saying about me having received exgratia is ‘rubbish’. I can call journalists to come and see my bank statement. Of course, I do not want to post my bank statement but they can come and see for themselves”.
” We all know what the World Bank Boss said about the country is not true. The economic situation is not only a factor of the external factors but the poor policies implemented such as the banking sector clean up”.
The former President was not excited about how the country has been managed and he did not mince words when he spoke to the TV3 journalist.
Many Ghanaians have reacted to TV3’s post on the former president’s interview as some hailed him.
Other citizens also made some interesting remarks.
