Former President John Dramani Mahama has granted an interview to TV3 and shared his sentiment on a litany of issues ranging from the Judges of the various courts, illegal mining, the presidency, and ex-gratia.Â
Alfred Ocansey, the journalist who hosted the former leader on the program “GHANA TONIGHT,” truly lived up to his responsibility by asking relevant questions. He politely accorded the needed respect to Mr. Mahama by addressing him as “Sir.”
Wearing white attire, the former first gentleman of the land as best as he could answer brilliantly questions and responded to the statement of the Attorney General, Godfred Dame.
The attorney general is reported to have said at a conference that the former President’s criticism of the judiciary is deplorable and such a statement shouldn’t be coming from somebody who has occupied the highest office of the land.
John Mahama spoke by the card and he will always speak about the ills in our society. He even cited the Chief Justice recently making pronouncements about the perceptions the public has about the bench and their judgments and indicated that he wouldn’t let the Attorney General take that right from him.
So as a former President if something is not going on right, I should keep quiet. So if you occupy the highest office of the land, you shouldn’t speak the truth? Is that what he is saying,” he inquired.
