Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was kept on the bench as his club Sporting CP defeat Tottenham Hotspur in UEFA Champions League.

Sporting CP went into the game as a determined side especially playing at home. In starting the game, Ghanaian international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was kept on bench.

The two teams made various efforts in getting a win but that was not enough to change the outcome of the game as first half ended barren.

Sporting CP came back hoping to bounce back in the second half and that saw the light of day in the closing stages of of the match.

Paulinho put Sporting CP into the lead in the 90th minutes. As and when it appeared like all was over for the game, Gomes ended the second goal for Sporting CP in deep stoppage time. Tottenham Hotspur could not stage a comeback as the game ended two goal for Sporting CP.
