El Shatta has fired shots early this year at Stonebwoy after his one-time sworn rival was snubbed by MTV Africa Awards (MAMA) which is scheduled to be hosted in the capital city of Uganda, Kampala.
The two, close two years ago made headlines for the wrong reasons at the Vodafone Ghana Awards after a fracas ensued over an award presenter to Stonebwoy as the best reggae dancehall artiste of the year 2018, which led to their peace press conference after “beefing” for only God knows how long.
There’s been harmony since, but they both have failed to do a collaboration to appease their numerous fans both home and abroad who have been yearning for a “baddest” track from the two most glamorous dancehall act in the country.
However, both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy had a busy year, 2020, despite the dreaded Covid-19 which took the whole world by surprise, as both managed to do a collaboration with internationally recognized artiste, namely; Beyoncé and Keri Hilson.
This as a result, has earned the “Gringo” hitmaker a nomination at the MAMA’s leaving Stonebwoy to his own fate as he failed to make a mark with his hit song “Nominate” which featured American-based superstar, Keri Hilson.
It is in view of this that Shatta Wale has taken a swipe at Stonebwoy who has a bad record with his temper, for pulling guns and throwing punches with the smallest provocation at events
Shatta Wale has taken to his Snapchat handle to note that, “Like if Ibe beating and slapping awards am sure they will nominate dem😂😂😂😂. Kudos to dem in the 2021 boxing awards😂😂😂🏃♀️” he noted
