Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea defeated King Faisal Babes 2-0 this afternoon in their betPawa Premier League game to move top of the table after the opening day fixtures.
Goals in each half by Afriyie Mezark 11′ and Awauh Dramani 57′, won all three points for the home side to begin the campaign on a high.
This encounter, was played at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park, Dormaa-Ahenkro and, it capped off the opening day fixtures as eight matches were played between Saturday and Monday.

Karela United scored a 1-0 home win over new entrants Tamale City at Anyinase with debutants Kotoku Royals winning by the same margin at home in Cape Coast to Accra Lions.
Another new entrant FC Samartex 1996, earned a priceless point away at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale as they drew goalless with RTU.
The league will continue this weekend with the Matchday Two fixtures across the nation.
