Asante Kotoko Top Scorer Leaves For Egypt, Sets To Sign Four Years Contract With Egyptian Giants

Asante Kotoko top scorer Frank Etouga could be on his way out of the club, following reports of contract agreement between the player and Egyptian side Al Masry.

Frank Etouga, per reports in the local media, has agreed a four year contract with Al Masry, as he is on his way to Egypt to put pen to paper and finalize all paperworks.

Frank Etouga was not part of Asante Kotoko squad that traveled to Cotonou, Benin, to play Burkina Faso club RC Kadiogo. His absence fueled rumors of an imminent departure, but other reports noted that Cameroonian international had taken ill and was on his way to recovery. Asante Kotoko stayed focus to grind results despite his absence.

Frank Etouga was earlier reported to have been contacted by Italian club Udinese which could have fetched Asante Kotoko one million euros.

Frank Etouga emerged top scorer for Asante Kotoko in last season’s Ghana Premier League. He bagged 21 Premier League goals for Asante Kotoko, a goal behind goal king Yaw Annor.
