News coming in indicates that another female student from the University of Education, Winneba has been confirmed dead following the accident which occurred on Friday.
According to report by Shadrach Appiah, SRC PRO of the university, the total number of students who have died through the accident currently stand at four. Another male lecturer happens to be part of the victims making the total death case to be five. He made this revelation on Oman FM this evening. The university community is currently mourning the deceased.
This comes after the university school bus carrying a number of students for an excursion program veered off the road, running into a valley at Apirede in the Okere District of the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Following this accident, four persons were confirmed dead, a male lecturer. Some 28 other persons were also reported to be receiving treatments at the Yilo Krobo District Hospital in the Eastern region.
The SRC Public Relations Officer has confirmed that the number of persons who have died as a result of the accident are currently five(four female students and one lecturer).
