Yesterday, 09/09/22, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was welcomed to the Bono East region to observe the feast of Special Prayers with thousands of Muslims at Prang in the Pru West District.
The observation of the prayers under the auspices of the Tijaniyya Muslim Council led by Sheikh Abdul Khalifa, forms part of series of annual prayers by the sect to bring believers from all walks of life to have spiritual bathing and also deepen socialisation.
Not only did the Vice President honour the invitation by the Muslim Council to pray with them but also presented Ghc50,000.00 towards an educational project initiated by the Tijaniyya Council.
The Council in their prayers thanked God for the life of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his support during the construction of their Modern Mosque Complex which he equally commissioned in the year 2020.
H. E was accompanied by Mr. Fred Oware, Ahaji T. B Damba, Hon. P Jalula (MP, Pru West and Dep. Minister for Roads and Highways), Hon. Alhassan Tampuri (Dep. Minister for Transport) Hon Abdallah Banda (CEO, Zongo Development) among others.
