5 Things You will Not Understand till you are 40 years and Above

Life has an interesting way of unfolding it’s nature to all people of different ages and positions.

In Ghana, our culture directs that once one exceeds the age of adolescence, he or she should begin thinking of marriage, a perception that is Anachronistic and not fit to be mandatory in this century, as a man, the first thing to do is to think of where your offsprings you are to produce will lay their heads without thinking of the next rent date. ‘let adversity teach he who fails to listen’

The Major things some people won’t fathom till the age of 40 and above Include:

Firstly, The insecurity in not having children: one may see the absence of Children as an avenue to be free but the fact of the matter is that at 40 and above one will feel insecure and and irresponsible without Children, you can’t brag over wealth because some people will tell you without Children they would be wealthier than you. The truth remains that we can’t all have children but this doesn’t also mean we should have too many children, just a few Responsible ones will be fine.

Secondly, the pressure that comes with not owning a house: it’s interesting to have a car and multiple girls at your disposal but the truth is that without a house of your own you will feel empty at 40, the truth is that you will be weaker and burdened with more Responsibilities and with less time to take decisions, Building needs time and peace of mind, at that time it will be a big deal to build unless you are one of those in an established state finding yourself in politics where you can loot enough or probably become an international business man who can invest more in estates and own one.

Thirdly, You will be pressured to succeed more and will constantly feel embarrassed to see Colleagues far ahead: it’s part of life but when one sees colleagues far ahead, it hurts them, that is the moment to understand that life is about the background and the earlier decisions, it’s not a shame to still be under, trying to get to the top, at that Instance, what you need to do is to remind yourself that some of your mates are dead yet you are still alive.

Fourthly, you will feel you haven’t exercised enough Social Responsibilities: like Mr. Tuorimuo Elvis Philip will say, “wants are more expensive, needs will never be due to their value to our lives”. Carryout social Responsibilities, those Western countries don’t give to us because they have in excess.

Lastly, The thought of how to live life after retirement: it’s a real situation but life shouldn’t be defined by retirement, establish businesses and you’ll forget you were even a public servant.
