A 27-year-old man called Yaw Afriyie has recounted how his actions led to his father’s death.
Sharing his life experience on EZRA TV/FM’s Apatakese3 Program, the drug addict said he engaged in drugs, specifically cocaine, due to peer pressure when he was in junior high school (JHS).
After being introduced to the drug, Afriyie told the host of the program, Sofomaame Naana Hayford, that he became addicted to it.
He said his friends convinced him to invest a considerable sum of money in the drug business because there was a profit in it.
Where to get money to invest in the drug business, according to Afriyie, was problematic.
Yaw Afriyie added that he stole a whopping amount of 100 million CEDI, now GHC 10,000, from his father and invested it into the drug business.
According to the drug addict, his father died due to the shock he had after he discovered that his money had been stolen.
