Experts say that adults need at least 150 minutes of intensive physical weekly exercise. Due to the benefits of physical exercise, the second Saturday of every month has been set aside for health aerobics, fitness walk and rigorous exercises.
The fitness day walk is expected to be observed across the country. On Saturday 10th September 2022, the maiden national fitness day walk with Vice President Dr Bawumia took place as scheduled.
Hundreds of citizens joined Dr Bawumia, the Sports Minister and other government officials to take part in burning the calories in their bodies and keep themselves fit.
Multimedia’s Lexis Bill was part of the historic walk and he posted a picture of himself, the Vice President and other government appointees on social media.
Some Ghanaians took advantage of Lexis Bill’s post to send the Vice President a message. The Vice President was advised to concentrate on solving the economic Issues.
The second gentleman was also told that certainly he needs the fitness day walk to keep fit to manage the country’s economy effectively.
