John Mahama Does The ‘Unexpected’ After Making This Conversation With The US Ambassador To Ghana

Former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has made a post on his Facebook page that may seem ‘unexpected’ to many.

In his post, John Mahama made it clear that he had a discussion with Virginia Parmer, US ambassador to Ghana. John Mahama made it clear to her in the conversation that this administration has made some unpopular decisions that have brought the economy into crisis. He also made it clear to the Ambassador about how this administration collapsed various banks in the country when government could have used the monies to revive those banks.

John Mahama finally revealed in his conversation that this administration misused the Covid-19 funds which were given to the country by various international agencies. He made it clear that the funds were shared amongst party officials. This statement from John Mahama may seem unexpected because many NPP communicators have already denied such allegations that were made months ago.

“Ghana’s economic woes, I explained, have been compounded by the missteps of the government, poor economic decisions, the collapse of indigenous banks and finance institutions instead of saving them, corruption, and the misappropriation of COVID-19 funds, which were shared to party officials” he posted.

John Mahama also expressed confidence in the IMF program because it will bring some level of ‘discipline’ in how public funds are used by the government.
