A few moments ago, TV3 Ghana posted on its heavily followed Facebook platform the picture of Vice President Dr Bawumia. The post from the renowned TV station quoted the vice president as indicating that Ghana would continue to supply nurses to Barbados.
Checks reveal that the Vice President indicated the said assurance on his Facebook page.
TV3 Ghana, in the same post, also recalled how Ghana and Barbados signed an agreement for the recruitment of Ghanaian nurses.
Readers can recall that as far back as 2019, the signing was done by the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Motley when she paid a courtesy call on the 2021 Forbes African of the year, President Nana Addo.
Many Ghanaians from the length and width of the country have reacted to TV3 Ghana’s post.
Some Ghanaians have raised concerns about how SHS graduates are now health assistants at Chip compounds whilst the quality nurses from Ghana are exported to Barbados.
Other concerned citizens have applauded the vice president for reducing the unemployment rate by assuring the continuous supply of nurses to Barbados.
