The former Black Stars Captain and Ghana’s all time goals scorer, Asamoah Gyan, also known as Baby Jets’ dream of making up the National Team’s squad to face the Selecao of Brazil in the friendly match was left hanging.
As part of Ghana’s preparation towards the mundial in Qatar, 2022, the need to prepare by facing the Brazilians is said to be a test for the entire squad.
At the backdrop this, the former striker, Baby Jet has been training very well in other to make the list of players to be considered for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Howbeit, the former skipper could not even make it to the twenty nine (29) man squad named to face the Brazilians.
Many Ghanaians, prominent personalities were of the view that, Asamoah Gyan, popularly known as Baby Jet should be handed his last call up to the Black Stars as a way of honouring him for the things done for the National Team.
I guess this assertion is viewed differently by other people.
Over the past few weeks, Gyan was seen in a video working out to help him overturned his weight gained.
This raised the question of whether he was going to be considered or not.
But as things stands now, his (Gyan) hopes of making it to the final list in Qatar, 2022, can not be guaranteed as he was not selected in the friendlies.
Meanwhile, a lot of questions are being asked by Ghanaians concerning the fitness of certain players as they have been added to the team.
The manager, Oto Addo’s 29 man squad has players like Thomas Partey, Elisha Owusu and Iddrisu Baba who are all injured in their respective clubs.
This situation is making many fanatics to doubt the capabilities of the coaches since they find this weird.
