BBC’s Peter Ogbu Okwoche Rates M.anifest The Best Lyricist On The African Continent

Poetic African rapper from Ghana, born Kwame Ametepee Tsikata but professionally known as M.anifest has earned accolades from BBC’s Peter Okwoche.

The well-known international broadcaster from NIGERIA believes the multiple award-winning rapper is the best lyricist on the African continent with carefully crafted songs.

In his opinion, the rapper’s five albums in his discography are thoughtfully crafted with content, having the high possibility of making an actively mammoth impact on the youth in Ghana and Africa at large.

“His five albums have been described as carefully and craftily worded poems to youth and personal development, and a social commentary on African and world affairs,” the broadcaster said.

During the interview with the 2017 Ghana Awards Best Rapper and Hip-Hop song of the year winner on Friday, September 2 on BBC World News, the popular news anchor inquired about what inspires his careful choice of content, and diction that runs through his songs.

“For a few shows at the moment and when he dropped by our studio, I began by asking him what he uses as his muse to write?” he questioned.

In the rapper’s words; “My muse, It evolves over time but definitely, it’s taking the world in. Whether it’s through reading, listening watching, or speaking, that’s constantly my muse. Sort of interacting with the world actively,”

He added, “And also being an active knowledge seeker
