Akufo-Addo Must Resign If He Can’t Fire Anyone For This Aisha Huang Embarrassment

A popular investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has called for the resignation of President Akufo-Addo if he fails to sack any of his appointees whose negligence has allowed Aisha Huang to the country again.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, 6th September 2022, Mannaseh Azure wrote;

“Akufo-Addo must resign if he can’t fire anyone for this Aisha Huang embarrassment.”

He added that this mess is now beyond the ceiling.

Background

The comments of Mannaseh comes as a background to the arrested of Aisha Huang, the ‘galamsey kingpin’. Aisha was deported from Ghana in 2019 but has sneaked back to engage in illegal mining.

She has been slapped with two charges which are: mining without licence, engaging in the sale and purchase of minerals without a valid licence.

It is said that Aisha changed her name and documents and passed through Togo to sneak to Ghana again.

Mannaseh in a reply on to his post questioned the work of National security. Its either the National Security are not working for the state or they are just deceiving everybody that they are working for us.if they can’t detect her entry,how can they detect the entry of a terrorist?

“Aisha Huang is being treated better than Odike. Take note of that. It’s how cheap we se ourselves as a people, and out resources for trinkets. Happened when we sold our own people for mirrors and gin. It isn’t a new problem.”

Yayra Koku of NDC also wrote that they won’t prosecute her. They will send her back because she is working with some government officials.
