A Woman Retells Why She Stopped Going To Church Two Years After She Got Married To Her Husband

A married woman called Maame Akos in an interview shares why she stopped going to church two years after she got married. According to the woman she traveled to Kumasi to work few years ago. She got into a relationship with Kwaku for some months before they got married. Two years after their marriage her husband traveled to Togo to visit his brother.

Going to that place became a thing he usually do but he didn’t tell her what he has been doing with his brothers. Maame Akos said she had a dream about her husband going to fetish priest shrine to pour libation. She asked Kwaku about it but he denied that it is never true. Few months later, her father died and they went to their hometown to perform his funeral rites.

The woman revealed that she saw Kwaku pouring alcohol in their shrine. She become angry and advised him that he is Christian so he shouldn’t even go to the shrine but he didn’t listen to her. She left him at that place after the funeral and came back to Kumasi. Three days later her brother-in-law informed her that Kwaku has been initiated into idol worship.

She thought it was a joke but when her husband came home, he told her to stop going to church because he is now an idol worshiper. Kwaku threatened her that he will marry another woman and will not take care of her again if she doesn’t stop going to church and worship idols. Maame Akos said she was not interested in that worship but she has to stop going to church because of what her husband told her. He also stopped taking care her and their two children as he used to do.

The man only gives her GHC10 for one whole week before giving another one. Maame Akos added that she informed her family members about her marital problem. Both families met in their hometown to settle the problem at hand but the man insisted on not allowing going to church or else he will divorce her. Truly her husband left home and never returned. Maame Akos is pleading with her husband to come back home and take care of their children.
